Roland C. FIGGINS Obituary


"FIGGINS – INVERNESS - Mr. Roland C. Figgins, age 68, of 203 Trout Street, Inverness, passed away Tuesday, October 17. Mr. Figgins was born in Nelsonville, Ohio. Came here about 19 years ago from Columbus, Ohio and served two terms as Mayor of Inverness from 1959 to 1963 and was elected a four year term on the city council, February 1967, and was employed as a salesman at the Home Furniture Store in Inverness. He was of the Methodist Faith. Surviving are his wife, Edith Jane Figgins, Inverness; a brother, Edward W. Figgins, St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Dengrass of Chauncey, Ohio, and Mrs. Gail Johnson of Athens, Ohio. Funeral services for Mr. Figgins will be held at 11:15, Wednesday, October 18, in the chapel of the Porter Funeral Home, Inverness, with Reverned Raymond Hayes officiating.
