Bertha V. FIGGINS and Samuel L. HUBACHER Marriage License Application, Entry and Certificate

Marriage License Application: Probate Court, Athens County, Ohio, No. 2617. Samuel L. Hubacher, 22 years of age, residence Nelsonville, Ohio, place of birth Hocking County, Ohio, occupation coal miner, Father William Hubacher, mother Sarah Starcher, not previously married. Bertha V. Figgins, is 17 years of age on the 16 day of July 1905, residence Nelsonville, Athens County, place of birth Athens County Ohio, occupation housekeeper, Father King Figgins, mother Ella Anders, not previously married. Signed Samuel L. Hubacher 11 April 1906, A.W. Lynch, Probate Judge. Signed King Figgins, giving consent.

Marriage Entry: Probate Court, Athens County, Ohio, April 11th 1906. Marriage Licence was this day granted to Samuel L. Hubacher and Bertha V. Figgins. A.W. Lynch.

Marriage Certificate: The State of Ohio, Athens County, ss. I do hereby certify, that on the 14th day of April AD 1906, I solemnized the Marriage of Mr. Samuel L. Hubacher with Miss Bertha V. Figgins. W.H. Miller, Minister.

Marriage Licence: Alonzo FIGGINS and Mary GROUNDS

"No. 7595 No. 11, February 28th AD 1882 Marriage License was this day granted to Alonzo Figgins and Mary Grounds, W.L.Aiken, Probate Judge. State of Ohio, Hocking County, ss. Personally came William Humphrey applying for License for Alonzo Figgins to be married to Mary Grounds who, being sworn, says that the said Alonzo Figgins is under the age of twenty-one years, and is unmarried; that the said Mary Grounds is over the age of eighteen years, and is unmarried; that she resides in Hocking County, and that he knows of no legal impediment to said marriage; and also that they are not nearer of kin than second cousins and William Humphrey being Father sworn says that E. Figgins, the Father ___willing to ____marriage. W.M.Barverd, Wm. Humphrey. Sworn to and subscribed before me, this 28th day of February AD 1882, W.J. Aiken, Probate Judge."
